X20DI6372 is a digital I/O module. It is part of the X20 series from B & R Automation. There are six digital inputs on the module. These are source type connections that require 2 wires. The software input filter is application to the entire module. One-wire connections can be used with a six-pin terminal block. Two-wire connections can be used with twelve-pin terminal blocks. The input channels are rated for 24 Volts DC. These inputs belong to Type 1 as per EN 61131-2. The input current value is typically 3.75 milliamps. Hardware and software input filters are available. The hardware filter delay is less than or equal to 100 microseconds. The default delay for the software filter is 1 millisecond, and the delay is configurable between 0 and 25 milliseconds in 0.2 millisecond increments.

Value of the input resistance is typically 6.4 kiloohms. The effective insulation is 500 Volts between the channel and the bus. The low switching threshold is less than 5 Volts DC and the high threshold is greater than 15 Volts DC. The X20DI6372 can be mounted either vertically or horizontally. Outdoor use is possible when the X20DI6372 module is installed inside an industrial cabinet that provides suitable ingress protection.
