The B & R Automation X20DI4372 is a part of the X20 Series and is an I/O module that is used in industrial automation systems. This module has a dual interface which allows it to be either mounted horizontally or vertically. This model is designed to work with a nominal voltage of 24 VDC and has an input voltage range of 24 VDC ~15% to accommodate fluctuating power supply common in industrial applications.

The X20DI4372 module has low bus power consumption of 0.14 W and an internal I/O power consumption of 0. 59 W in system operations. The module contains an input filter with the response time of less than or equal to 100 us and the software programmable filtering from 0 to 25 ms in 0.2 ms intervals. This makes it possible to achieve optimal signal conditioning and filtering as may be required by a given application. It also gives a detailed status of I/O function per channel, the operation of the state and the status of the module. These include module run and error indication through the use of a status LED and software diagnostics that will help the user to easily diagnose common problems.

This module is designed with an average input impedance of 6.4 k? and meets the EN 61131-2 Type 1 input characteristics, hence making it suitable for use in different standard industrial applications.
