Product Description:
The X20DI2377 is B&R Automation's unique digital input module designed primarily for the X20 product series. Originally, it was designed to function with the X20TB06, a 6-pin terminal block. For other applications, however, the 12-pin X20 terminal block, X20TB12, may also be used. Aside from the mentioned terminal blocks, the X20DI2377 is also compatible with X20's base modules. It serves primarily as an I/O module, providing two channels for digital inputs. Since digital input modules take in signals from other devices, the X20DI2377's channels are considered sink connections. Both digital inputs utilize 3-wire connections.
The nominal voltage for the X20DI2377's digital input channels is 24 VDC, with an allowable range deviation of +20% or -15%. The digital channels have two types of input filters: hardware and software. The hardware input filter has a relatively fixed response below 10 microseconds. The software input filter, on the other hand, has a configurable response time between 0 and 25 milliseconds over a 0.2 ms time interval. Both inputs can be configured as event counters, but only one input channel is configurable for GATE measurements. There are two switching thresholds for this digital input module. The low switching threshold is 5 volts DC, while the high switching threshold is 15 volts DC.
The X20DI2377's event counters use square wave signals, which only evaluate during the positive edge cycle. The maximum input frequency for the event counters is 50 kilohertz with a 16-bit counter size. On the other hand, only one digital input channel can be configured for gate measurement at any time. When operated, the gate measurement channel also uses a square wave pulse and evaluates at a positive-negative edge.
Frequently Asked Questions about X20DI2377:
