Product Description
The X20DC2190 is a special I/O module by B&R, designed for X20 system devices. It functions as an ultrasonic transducer module, capable of both path and speed measurement. The X20DC2190's ultrasonic rods are coupled with the RS422 interface, which allows it to initiate communication with other devices every time a start/stop signal takes place. With this monitoring device, a total of four paths can be measured, assuming two ultrasonic rods are connected. Aside from its ultrasonic rods, the X20DC2190 also provides 24 VDC to supply other sensors externally.
The X20DC2190 has two channels for speed and path monitoring. The supported encoder classifications for this ultrasonic module are the EP start/stop, Start/stop, and DPI/P interfaces. Using the DPI/P communication protocol, the module can directly read operational parameters. The channels need a terminal voltage of 24 VDC and support the RS422 communication protocol. It also allows multi-magnet measurement, as long as only four magnets are used simultaneously at a time. The X20DC2190's path measurement channel can measure up to 10.4 meters, with the relative negative boundary being -5.2 m and the relative positive boundary being +5.2 m. Finally, its speed measurement channel has a measurement range of plus or minus 3.2 m/s.
Assuming the X20DC2190 is operated normally, its bus consumes 0.01 watts and its I/O internal interface uses 1.1 watts. Throughout its operation cycle, status indicators provide the user useful information about the module's I/O functions, status, states, and errors. Additionally, the X20DC2190's software also provides more detailed information, especially when errors occur. To test the capabilities of this transducer module, a separate X20 bus module and terminal block must be configured. Purchasing any X20 product from Wake Industrial guarantees you a minimum of a one-year product warranty.
