The X20CP1382 from the X20 series of B&R Automation is a smart and capable industrial control equipment. The unit offers great diagnostic options via directly on the module using LED displays, through software using cyclic data image, and expanded diagnostic data in acyclic data traffic without performance losses. The I/O modules equipped in the unit come with the reACTION Technology with response times less than 1 microsecond. There is a protective coating on the X20 modules that protects it from corrosive gases and condensation which allows it to easily operate in adverse environment or in 100% humidity. The unit comes with a powerful processor that makes it fully equipped to tackle complex industrial requirements.

The X20CP1382 has a Intel x86 400 MHz processor which is complemented with a 256 MB DDR3 SDRAM. The unit has a 2GB Flash drive and a 32 Kb FRAM. The X20CP1382 is designed with ample connections and interfaces like 10/100 BASE-T, 2 x USB interfaces, and 2 x analogues inputs. The digital input and ouput modules include 30 integrated channels including 14 standard inputs, 4 mixed channels, 8 ouput channels, and 4 high-speed inputs for a diversified performance profile. The X20CP1382 has a backed up realtime clock, 1 x RS232, 1 x CAN Bus, and 1 x Powerlink interface. The plus point of the unit is its being fanless and battery-free which reduces its power hungry profile.
