Product Description
The X20cAO4622 is an elaborate B&R analog output module that features a powerful set of capabilities. As an analog output module, it takes in digital inputs and converts them into a useful output that is analog in nature. An analog signal is continuous and may take any value within a given range. On the other hand, a digital signal takes only two possible values, making it a binary signal in nature. The X20cAO4622 allows four analog outputs to work simultaneously. The appropriate bounds of the output signal are as follows: anywhere between positive or negative 10 volts, 4 to 20 mA, and 0 to 20 mA. For the analog outputs expressed as current values, the different bounds imply different X20 terminal blocks.
At most, the X20cAO4622 permits a maximum output signal of 10 mA if the voltage is greater than 5V and 15 mA if the voltage is less than 5V. The digital-to-analog converter has a 13-bit resolution and completes for as low as 300 microseconds for all outputs. The X20cAO4622 operates with minimal possibilities of errors. Specifically, the X20cAO4622 only allows a maximum voltage gain error of 0.08%, a voltage offset error of 0.05%, a current gain error of 0.09%, and a current offset error of 0.05%. If the error is greater than these values, the conversion is likely repeated.
The X20cAO4622 supports both vertical and horizontal installation orientations and requires only a pitch distance of 12.5 millimeters. The X20cAO4622's bus consumes only 0.01 watts, while its internal I/O absorbs as much as 1.8 watts. During operation, the X20cAO4622's software and status LEDs provide the user with immediate feedback whenever module errors are encountered.
