The X20BC0083 is a high-performance POWERLINK bus controller that comes with two RJ45 ports to suit the needs of today's industrial communication networks. This module supports a data transfer rate of 100 Mbit/s, this is suitable for any application where data transfer rate is of importance.

The maximum cable length of this module is 100m, which allows the deployment of the network in large industrial areas. The X20BC0083 is energy efficient with a power consumption of 2W, while still offering good performance. It also has basic status indicators for the module status and bus function to assist in monitoring and diagnostics to support its functionality. This bus controller is also built with durability in mind as it has an operating temperature range of -25 to 60 degrees C and can work in conditions of humidity levels of 5 to 95% non-condensing. Such features make it suitable to be used in various manufacturing companies as well as in environments with extreme climate conditions. Fieldbus to I/O isolation and the electrical isolation of the Fieldbus and the X2X link is inherent to the module to avoid electrical interferences and potential damage by voltage surges. The module's IP protection class is IP20 which provides protection against solid objects but not liquid and is suitable for use in indoor environments where dust is a problem but not water.

The X20BC0083 has Auto-MDI/MDIX that helps in quick and easy connection by eliminating the need for crossover cables for configuration.
