Product Description
Considered one of B&R Industrial Automation's bestselling products, the X20BB11 is a bus base module boasting an impressive set of features and capabilities. Its relatively small construction makes it a perfect bus base for other modules in the X20 system. It weighs only about 0.04 pounds and consumes 0.13 watts of power during operation. Like other components and modules by B&R Automation, the X20BB11 operates in relatively wide operating and storage temperature ranges. B&R Automation recommends keeping the environmental temperature between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius during operation. On the other hand, during transport, the advisable temperature is from -25 to 70 degrees Celsius.
The X20BB11 has an integrated I/O power supply and utilizes a DIN rail for easier mounting. The DIN rail is suitable for holding wire connectors, breakers, fusers, and other electrical modules. To properly operate this bus base module, sufficient terminal voltage must be supplied. Based on the X20 manual, bus base modules like the X20BB11 need a 24 VDC supply and permit a maximum load contact of 10 amperes. It also features a terminal block for establishing connections with other X20 modules. In terms of electromagnetic compatibility, the X20BB11 adheres to the standards established in IEC 61326-1.
Aside from its external and electrical characteristics, the X20BB11 also has an impressive resistance profile against vibration and shock. Based on documentation, the equivalent vibration resistance of the X20BB11 at 10 to 150 hertz is 1 gram, while its equivalent shock resistance is 15 grams for 11 milliseconds. Although B&R Industrial Automation has discontinued manufacturing the X20BB11, you can still purchase this bus base module at Wake Industrial with a special one-year unit warranty.
