Product Description
X20AP3131 is an energy metering module. It works with X20 PLCs from B & R Automation. The module works with 3-phase AC systems and measures power and energy for current transformers. The input impedance is 1.68 megaohms. The nominal phase-to-phase voltage is 480 Volts AC (maximum). The nominal phase-to-neutral voltage is 277 Volts AC (maximum). The maximum display value is 655 Volts AC. Resolution supported by the X20AP3131 module is 10 millivolts when the voltage is directly applied. It works with AC input at 50 and 60 Hertz. The measurable frequency range is 45 to 60 Hertz at 0.01 Hertz resolution. The X20AP3131 module is equipped with four AC current inputs. The nominal current is 5 Amps secondary. The nominal primary current is 65 Amps directly configurable.
The module is designed to handle maximum 8 times the nominal current for 0.5 seconds. The peak measurement current is 5 Amps. The input resolution is 1 milliamp based on the primary current. The rated load is 20 milliohms. LED status indicators are available for I/O function per channel, module state and operating state. Input diagnostics are available via software and LED indicators. Module run and error diagnostics are available via software and LEDs. Power consumption of the module bus depends on hardware revision: it is 0.85 Watts for revision less than E0, 0.5 Watts for revision E0 and 0.45 Watts for revision greater than E0. The additional module power dissipation is 2 Watts. This is the power dissipated by the current measurement shunts. The input to ground isolation is 5500 Volts DC for 1 minute. The inputs to bus and input to I/O supply isolation is 5500 Volts DC for 1 minute.
