The X20AI2437 is a module designed by B & R Automation for signal measurements. The unit supports signals via two inputs that accommodate either 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 25 mA signals. The module is optimized for safety and operational reliability. Each of the input channels is isolated electrically to prevent interference between channels which can impact performance. The inputs are also fitted with individual electrically isolated sensor supplies to enhance the versatility of the module. The converter resolution of the input module is rated at 16-bit. This high resolution is essential for accuracy and precision in voltage measurements. To accommodate time-sensitive automation applications, this module is equipped with a NetTime timestamp. This feature that allows users to log the time of each measurement.
This module has a power consumption of just 0.05 W on the bus, making it energy-efficient. It outputs data at a rate of 4.7 to 960 samples per second. This rate can be tailored by users depending on their specific needs. To prevent damage to the system and connected devices, the X20AI2437 comes with up to 30 VDC reverse polarity protection. This ensures that the system is protected if there are problems in the wiring of the system. There are status indicators mounted on the unit to facilitate easy monitoring and trouble shooting. The unit displays the status of the I/O function for all channels, the status of the module as well as the status of the power supply.
For quick and simple integration, the module can be installed in either vertical or horizontal orientation. It is suited for ambient temperatures of -25 to 60 degrees C when mounted in horizontal orientation and -25 to 50 degrees C in vertical orientation. For adaptability to different industrial environments, the module features an ingress protection level of IP 20.
