Product Description
The 2ME915.90-1 B&R application memory module is a robust memory unit tailored for the B&R System 2010, supporting processor modules like CP10x, CP2x0, and MP100. Released in 2010, it boasts an impressive SRAM capacity of 2MB and FlashPROM of another 2MB, ensuring sufficient storage for extensive user applications and OS-related data.
Equipped with PCC software and integrated logic for FlashPROM programming, the module features an LED display for real-time programming status updates. It includes a built-in write protection switch to prevent accidental data loss during write operations. To mitigate potential data corruption from power loss, the module utilizes either a lithium battery or gold foil capacitor to buffer its SRAM. The lithium battery sustains data integrity for up to two years without external power, while the gold foil capacitor offers a buffer of at least ten minutes.
Operating temperature ranges from -20C to +70C without a lithium battery, and -20C to +60C with the battery installed. According to manufacturer specifications, the module can retain data for up to three years at 30C ambient temperature when the lithium battery is removed, ensuring reliability in varying environmental conditions.
For safe lithium battery replacement, follow these steps: power down the PCC system, remove the power supply, discharge static electricity, and replace the old cell with a new one using the removal ribbon and plug connection provided. Thanks to the gold foil capacitor, users can hot-swap batteries without interrupting operations, enhancing convenience despite the module's compact dimensions of 103mm tall, 32mm wide, and 122mm deep.
