Product Description
The 2BP210.4 is a sturdy module with a base plate made in 2010 that is designed to accommodate a single I/O module and has bus termination for the I/O bus included. It is C-UL-US listed, which means it meets rigorous safety requirements. With dimensions optimized for small spaces, it offers excellent functionality in many industrial applications.
The 2BP210.4 features a non-volatile real-time clock with lithium battery backup that provides at least two years of operation; the CPU also includes a gold foil capacitor that adds another ten minutes worth of power supply to the clock when there are brief outages of electricity. The clocks resolution is 10 ms and it incorporates battery monitoring for higher reliability. User controls consist of a key switch, reset button, and three user-programmable configuration buttons (Up, Down, Enter). The status display includes an alphanumeric LCD with two lines by eight characters each plus six status LEDs for easy-to-understand and concise indication about what's going on with the device at any given time.
Among its other capabilities, this module supports several different standard communications interfaces like RS232 (IF1), RS232/TTY (IF2), and RS485/RS422 (IF3); these were chosen specifically because they have unique characteristics best suited for certain types of connectivity needs or limitations imposed by physical distance between devices being connected together over wire lines etc. Interface IF1 does not provide isolation meaning if any part fails, then the whole system may fail consequently; it connects through a nine-pin D-type plug supporting a maximum length of 15 meters having a baud rate up to sixty-four kilo bauds per second. Interface IF2 offers isolation; the maximum length supported by the RS232 portion is fifteen meters while the TTY part can span up to three hundred meters, both sections operating at a speed not exceeding sixty-four kilo bauds per second.
