The B&R 3IF772 is a flexible interface module that has been developed for use in harsh industrial settings to enhance the performance of operations in intricate automation systems. This module has two CAN interfaces and an RS232 interface that can be set as the online one.

The CAN bus connections have datalink rates of up to 500 kbit/s and are geared to meet the rigors of industrial-grade communication. The RS232 interface is useful for expanding the communication options by providing a solution for serial communication which is frequently used in control system configurations. The 3IF772 also has LED status indicators that display the status of the first interface through two LEDs, and one LED for the second and third interfaces to indicate data transfer and system status.
