The 3DM455.60-2 I/O module has eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs that can suit a wide range of industrial control applications. This module is equipped with LED status indicators for diagnostics and includes startup, error, and I/O function statuses by channel. It operates on an internal power supply of 5 VDC and utilizes a maximum of 3.5 watts. Electrical isolation exists between the PLC channels as well as between the input and output groups to ensure safe and dependable operation. The 3DM455.60-2 is suitable for industrial control equipment because it meets CE, UKCA and cULus (E115267) certifications.
Digital inputs operate at a nominal voltage of 24 VDC with sink input circuitry and a hardware input filter ^22.5 us to allow rapid signal processing, such as encoder evaluation or signal measurement purposes. The digital outputs have various output circuit designs ranging from push, pull, push/pull, and full bridge, among others, while operating at supply voltages from zero to fifty volts DC. The nominal current for each output is capable of handling an average load of one A unit. The module comes with comprehensive safety features like reverse polarity protection for the output power supply, protection against switching inductive loads, and thermal shutdown in case of overcurrent/short circuit. Pulse width modulation and stepper motor control are other uses for the digital outputs.
The device has IP20 degree of protection according to EN60529, which means that it can be used reliably even under difficult conditions. It may be stored within a -251/4C to +701/4C temperature range or operated between 01/4C to +601/4C and fall anywhere between 5% to 95% relative humidity levels. The module may be mounted on base units but also extension units, thus conforming to System 2005 single-width format.
