With 16 digital inputs organized into 4 electrically separate groups, the 3DI476.6 digital input module is intended to operate at a nominal voltage of 24 VDC. To enable easy monitoring of the input state, each channel has I/O function status indicators. The internal 5 VDC supply of the module uses 1.5 W in total. There is electrical isolation between channels and the PLC, but not between individual channels in the same group. It is only supplied between input groups. The 3DI476.6 is approved for use with industrial control equipment by the UKCA, CE, and cULus (E115267) certifications.
With a hardware input filter response time of less than 1.2 milliseconds, the digital inputs provide sink and source input circuits, allowing for precise and effective signal processing. The module has an IP20 degree of protection in accordance with EN 60529 and is designed to endure a variety of working circumstances. It functions well in temperatures between 0 and 60C and may be kept in a range of 25 to 70C. It can also withstand relative humidity levels between 5 and 95%.
The 3DI476.6 is physically compatible with the single-width format of System 2005 and may be placed on extension units in addition to base units.
