There are four 16-bit digital I/O groups in the module 3DI450.60-9. Each channels I/O function can be monitored by its status indicator, which is important for diagnostics and ensuring that it is working well. The on-board power supply of the module has a total of 2W at 5VDC. In each group, individual channels are not isolated from one another, but there is electrical isolation between input groups and channels and the PLC itself. This device is certified for use with industrial control equipment and meets CE, UKCA, and cULus (E115267) requirements.

The digital inputs have a nominal voltage of 24 VDC. Sink-only input circuitry is available on channels 1 through 8, while source or sink input circuits may exist on channels 9 through 16. For instance, the hardware input filter response time on channels 1 through 8 is ^21.2 ms; response time for those between 9 and 16 is ^212 ms. For enhanced adaptability in industrial environments, this module also includes event counting, period measuring, as well as gate measurement features.
