The 7EX484 enables real-time Ethernet connectivity in automated machinery through the POWERLINK industrial communication protocol. As a high-performance bus controller module, it brings versatile topology support, fault-tolerant operation, and seamless integration with PLC-based architectures. This module comes equipped with four isolated POWERLINK ports. Each RJ45 interface provides 100Mbps data speeds for transferring control and telemetry data. Electrical isolation protects against ground loops and noise while supporting versatile line, node, ring, and star network topologies.
An integrated bus controller chip handles network management duties including clock synchronization and isochronous process data transfers. This delivers precision control and sequencing through deterministic communication between I/O, drives, vision systems, and other devices. The robust 7EX484 has an operating voltage range of 10 to 30 VDC. Power conditioning circuitry helps maintain uninterrupted data flows. Integrated DC/DC converters provide further isolation.
