The 7EX477.50-1 remote I/O bus controller provides versatile connectivity and seamless integration for distributed industrial automation applications. This 2003 series controller links remote I/O stations into control networks via isolated interfaces. An integrated RS485 port enables reliable serial communication across long distances following the PROFIBUS DP protocol. Additionally, two CAN ports facilitate robust real-time control networking using the CANopen standard. Both interface types are electrically isolated up to 500V for enhanced reliability.
The 24VDC powered controller consumes just 14W of power despite its advanced communication capabilities. This allows for flexible placement without taxing limited rack supply current budgets. Integrated bus diagnostics quickly flag any network wiring issues for rapid troubleshooting. A condensed footprint measuring just 7.6 x 11.4 x 5.7cm mounts easily onto DIN rail to conserve valuable space within crowded control cabinets. Despite its tiny size, the module still provides convenient access to interface wiring points.
Robust construction featuring fiberglass-reinforced housing and fully potted circuits withstands operating temperatures from -20 degrees C to 60 degrees C, while allowing operation up to 5000m altitude.
