Product Description
The 7AT664.70 module from B&R Industrial Automation is a high-performance analog input module. Part of the 2003 Analog Input Module lineup, it supports four inputs compatible with various thermocouples, enabling accurate temperature readings from -270 to +1372 degrees C. This screw-in module requires the separate acquisition of the TB712 terminal block for proper installation. Certified with C-UL-US listing and identified by the B&R ID Code $0C, it is designed to fit into the AF101 adapter module and CP interface, ensuring smooth integration with existing setups.
The measurement range of the module depends on the sensor type employed: for FeCuNi (Type J), the range is -210 to +1200 degrees C; for NiCrNi (Type K), it spans -270 to +1372 degrees C; and for PRhPt (Type S), it covers -50 to +1768 degrees C. The terminal temperature range is from -55 to +125 degrees C, ensuring dependable performance under various environmental conditions. Raw value readings of +/-65534 uV are accessible via data and configuration words, allowing for precise data processing and analysis. The module employs data words Data 0, Data 1, Data 2, and Data 3 with a VD data type of INT 16 and a VD module type of Analog 1, assigned to VD channels 1, 2, 3, and 4 respectively.
Data packing is not supported on the 7AT664.70, so one CAN object is transmitted per screw-in module. Configuration word 8 with INT 16 is used for transport, and the VD channel 16 is assigned for this purpose. For the terminal temperature of channel 1, external conversion is managed for transport in, while external reference junction temperature is used for transport out, ensuring precise and reliable temperature measurements in demanding industrial environments.
