MDE Digital Input Module Series

The MDE Digital Input Module Series from B&R Automation is a comprehensive product line of modular digital input modules well-suited for a wide range of machine control and automation applications. Available in multiple configurations ranging from 4 up to 16 channels per module, the MDE Digital Input Module Series gives machine builders and system integrators a flexible option for integrating digital field signals into their control architecture. All MDE Digital Input Module Series modules support 24VDC input levels and feature galvanic isolation of at least 500V between the low voltage side and the high voltage side for optimal machine safety. Input types are software selectable as either sinking or sourcing, allowing direct connection to various field device types including switches, proximity sensors, and Photoelectric sensors. The modules provide noise filtering on all channels to minimize erroneous signals from electrical noise in industrial environments. Channel response times are optimized for control applications, with input filtering allowing reliable reading of signal state changes within 10msec for a 0->1 transition and 15msec for 1->0.
