Product Description
The rugged 9400DI digital input solution provides a cost-effective means of monitoring the state of field devices and machinery from a centralized point. Its 32 independent channels accept on/off signals to detect the activation of sensors, limit switches, and other binary-output transmitters located throughout processing environments. Versatile Ethernet communication protocols enable seamless integration into distributed control architectures alongside other automation components.
Power demands are met through universal 24V DC, with minimal current draw even when all channels are active. Combined with an operating temperature span from -20 to 60 degrees Celsius, the module withstands harsh conditions on the factory floor. Inputs are isolated from one another as well as the power source for dependable noise immunity in electrically noisy industrial settings. Measuring a compact 300x100x75mm, the lightweight 1.2kg package occupies little space yet provides high channel density. Its IP20-rated enclosure protects against accidental contact during ordinary use but is not fully sealed, allowing simple field replacement without commissioning. Standard DIN-rail mounting eases setup on control panel backplates in minutes.
Clear status LEDs on the faceplate provide at-a-glance diagnostics. Configuration is handled through user-friendly programming tools with drag-and-drop simplicity. Advanced diagnostic functions detect short circuits or disconnected wiring to minimize downtime troubleshooting. Event counter timestamps captured states to trace irregularities. Modular expansion through additional input or output modules augments system size as needs evolve over the lifetime of a machine. Centralized control eliminates duplicated components for lower total cost of ownership versus distributed I/O. Support agreements cover both hardware and software to maximize uptime.
