The 5AP920.1214-K01 is a B&R automation panel model in the AP900 series by the company. It displays information in the landscape format on a thin-film-transistor color display with an SVGA resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. The diagonal length of this screen is 12.1”, and it is equipped with analog resistive technology. As a result, the screen is highly responsive to different kinds of touch inputs, including fingers and gloved hands. The half-brightness time of its backlight is 50,000 hours, and it has a slot that is compatible with the PPC300. Three USB 2.0 interfaces are present on this B&R panel, and they can reach a high-speed transfer rate of 480 Mbit/s. The Type A interfaces have a maximum current-carrying capacity of 500 mA per connection.
A nominal voltage of 24V DC with a tolerance of ±25% is required to operate the 5AP920.1214-K01. With a connected Automation Panel Link plug-in card, it has a maximum nominal current rating of 3.2A. Its frame is made from naturally anodized aluminum; hence, it is resistant to corrosion, and it has a flat gasket around the front of its display. The panel weighs approximately 3,400g, and with the plug-in card, it is IP-20 rated in front. It has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating at the back, indicating that it is dustproof and hose water-resistant.
