Product Description
B&R’s modular ACOPOS servo drives are flexible automation units that can be used for several application-specific operations. They work with short sampling times and communication cycles of 400 μs, which give 50 μs in the control loop. The areas where these servo drives are used include the wood industry, textile industry, and metalworking industry.
The 8V1022.00-2 is a model of the ACOPOS servo drive family by B&R. It forms an integral part of the B&R soft CNC system, providing economical solutions, high response speed, and data throughput. The servo drive features an embedded motor parameter chip where information such as its mechanical and electrical parameters are stored. Hence, the need for manual input of such parameters is eliminated, resulting in a rapid startup. It also has an integrated braking resistor and a line filter according to EN 61800-3 as a measure of radio interference suppression. The power on the braking resistor is evenly distributed thanks to an efficient mechanism that controls it when there is a DC bus connection between several units.
A nominal frequency between 50Hz and 60Hz with a tolerance of ±4% is ideal for operating the 8V1022.00-2. It also supports switching frequencies of 5kHz, 10kHz, and 20kHz. This motor can be commissioned and monitored with the B&R Automation Studio for Windows, especially its oscilloscope function. It has an IP 20 Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529. This means that solid extrinsic objects of 12mm diameter or more will not penetrate the drive. An added advantage of the servo drive is its LED indicators, which aid fault detection and provide real-time information on its operating status.
