The 8LSA75.DA030S500-3 servo motor from B&R Automation provides robust performance for demanding motion control applications. Powered by 400V, it produces a massive 43Nm of torque at rated speeds up to 3000rpm. This makes it well-suited for tasks involving frequent starting and acceleration of heavy loads. Within its IP64-rated housing, the motor also features an integrated 24VDC holding brake capable of sustained forces up to 80Nm.

The brake allows for both static locking of position as well as dynamic braking of the motor shaft, improving deceleration performance for precision stopping. Temperature sensors integrated into the winding protection circuitry prevent overheating from continuous overload or higher ambient temperatures. With Class F insulation, the motor maintains reliable operation even in areas with up to 50 degrees C ambient air.

Precision is achieved through closed-loop controls courtesy of its 26.4A maximum output current. The motor can source up to 18.4A of input current to precisely regulate speed, acceleration, and torque even under rapidly fluctuating mechanical load conditions. Overall efficiency is also increased through reducing I2R losses inherent to copper windings seeing variable duty cycles. A detachable shrink-fit hollow shaft transmits high torque loads from the motor. Keyed couplings or other connection methods enable flexible or rigid mounting in any orientation. The robust IP64 sealing protects the motor internally from ingress by dust while also guarding against water jets from outside, facilitating usage near wash stations.
