Product Description
As part of B&R Automation's extensive 8LS series, the 8LSA25.D9030S200-3 servo motor presents a compact yet powerful solution for precise motion control applications. Despite its modest 1Nm continuous torque rating, this little motor belies its size by reaching high speeds of up to 5000rpm. To drive attached machinery smoothly at such velocities requires precise digital control and robust current handling.
Drawing a nominal 1.37A from the power supply enables the motor to produce the rated continuous torque. It can also withstand brief current surges up to a maximum of 2.06A, allowing higher torque demands if needed. An IP64-sealed enclosure protects the internals from external contaminants while its operating temperature range from -10 degrees C to 40 degrees C permits usage across all industrial environment temperatures.
Within this operating window, digital commutation and control enable the motor to produce torque precisely as commanded by application programs or external drives. A peak output capability of 1.5Nm accommodates transient loads without risk of stalling. Powered by 400V AC, the motor leverages high-frequency switching circuits and efficient magnet designs to transform supply power into smooth shaft rotation. An integrated encoder supplies closed-loop position feedback, maintaining synchronicity between motion instructions and real-world shaft positions. This enables repetition accuracy vital for tasks like pick-and-place automation on machinery production lines. Electronic braking circuits also allow rapid, controlled deceleration when stopping or reversing direction to prevent oscillation.
