8LS Synchronous Motor Series
The B&R 8LS Synchronous Motor Series provides high-performance servo motors for precision motion control applications requiring compact design and high speeds. One model in the series is a permanent magnet synchronous motor in Size 5 format. This motor stands out through its fully integrated fan cooling module, which maintains optimal operating temperatures even during continuous operation at higher velocities. The three-phase motor's low cogging torque and detent effect enables smooth motion and precise positioning. The motor incorporates a high resolution 32-line Endat 2.1 multi-turn absolute encoder, providing feedback for repeatable positional accuracy over its entire operating speed range up to 3000 RPM. An angled swivel connection allows flexible installation into tight machinery spaces while preserving alignment and load transfer. Constructed from a durable plastic polymer, the 8LS Synchronous Motor withstands harsh industrial environments while minimizing weight and inertia for optimal dynamic performance.
