8EI Servo Drive Series

As machines require increasingly integrated and miniature motion profiles, control systems must adapt sophisticated multi-axis capabilities into minimal footprints. B&R’s 8EI Servo Drive series addresses this need with its centralized multi-axis servo drive design. The 8EI Servo Drive consists of ACOPOS P3 multi-axis drives intended for wall mounting. A single P3 unit independently powers and controls up to three servo motors through integrated channels. This centralized configuration streamlines machine wiring and cabinet space compared to separate single-axis drives. Beyond multi-axis coordination, the 8EI Servo Drive enables extensive safety features through integrated SafeMOTION functionality. Axis-specific monitoring and limiting helps ensure unintended movements don’t compromise operator safety. The 8EI Servo Drive can directly support safety applications up to PLe/Category 4 without additional safety PLCs.
