8BA ACOPOS Module Series

The B&R 8BA ACOPOS Module Series provides encoder emulation modules that seamlessly integrate with ACOPOSmulti servo drives and controllers. As an embedded solution, 8BA ACOPOS Module modules plug directly into the I/O slots of ACOPOSmulti modules, eliminating the need for additional wiring and components. This makes commissioning and installation faster and simpler. Each 8BA ACOPOS Module contains 3 independent RS422 outputs that can be used to emulate absolute encoder feedback from servo drives. This provides an ideal replacement for situations where a true absolute encoder may be too large, expensive or unsuitable for the machine design. The 8BA ACOPOS Module Series supports ABR encoder emulation protocol at speeds up to 1 MHz, allowing for high resolution applications with fast dynamics. Whether precise motion or high-speed pick and place, the 1 MHz output capability provides reliable feedback information even during accelerations and movements. With zero jitter or latency introduced from external converters, the 8BA ACOPOS Module modules provide pure and transparent encoding data directly from the drives. This gives machine builders and integrators confidence in implementing precise motion and position control schemes.
