The 8AC121.60-1 ACOPOS plug-in module is an efficient and flexible device used in monitoring and controlling many processes in the industries. The power requirements are also specified based on the encoder devices and are quite flexible as well with encoder off at 0.35 W, encoder rated at 100 mA at 1.4 W, and rated at 170 mA encoder at 2.1 W. Such flexibility ensures effective power utilization along system needs.
The module accepts one encoder input only and this input cable can be extended to about 50 meters providing a broad range of installation choices. The encoder output power supply is rated at approximately 8 degrees CE" 9 V and the supply load is specified at 170 mA. It takes care of signals in the sine and cosine forms starting from DC all the way to 200 kHz and these ranges of signals are managed with 0.5 to 1.25 Vss differential input range. The common mode does not exceed ~7 Volts which protects the connections.
Provided within the dimensions of the 8AC121.60-1 module is a 120 ohm terminating resistor that is advantageous in keeping the quality of signals transmitted by the module over long distances. Designed for steady-state operation with ambient temperatures ranging from 5 degrees C to 40 degrees C and with a maximum temperature of 55 degrees C, it is suitable for many industrial applications.
