7XX Bus Controller Series

The 7XX Bus Controller Series from B&R consists of robust remote I/O modules designed to be mounted near machines for local data acquisition and output control. Part of the series includes a module with 16 fast digital inputs, 2 event counters, and 1 encoder or gate/period measurement for position feedback or motion control applications. It also provides 12 digital outputs at 0.5A plus 4 digital outputs up to 2A for higher power demands. An additional feature includes 2 outputs with pulse-width modulation functionality for advanced control of motor speed, camera flashes, or similar processes requiring variable output levels. All 7XX Bus Controller Series I/O modules operate over B&R's open X2X Link protocol, providing powerful distributed automation with high-speed, deterministic data transfer. Electrical isolation of inputs and outputs both between channels and from the backplane/supply voltages further assures maximum immunity from electrical noise. This makes the series well-suited for demanding automation environments prone to interference.
