Product Description

The 7AC911.9 is an industrial grade CAN interface module designed for communication networks which assures good connectivity and fast data transmission. It comes with a 9-pin female DSUB connector and therefore, it is UL 232327 compliant with CAN norms and can connect two bus lines through screw clamp terminal blocks to ensure firm connection.

In 7AC9 11- 9 the major utilities are still an integrated strain relief to prevent wires from pulling out and help the cables rather than wires helping out on the mechanical connections. It also contains a switchable resistor to terminate connection to the unit hence the pictures can be connected to the unit and terminate the bus from it. For proper indication of the communication status, the wiring module has been fitted with pipe bore CAN RX/TX LED indicators which give quick information about the operation of the interface. The extended version also includes electrical isolation so that the interface is not exposed to electrical transients that are common in industry.

The 7AC911.9 handles a wide range of transfer rates as per the bus length, 500 kbits per second for bus lengths of 60 meters and below, 250 kbits per second for bus lengths of 200 meters and 50 kbits per second for bus lengths of 1000 meters. This configuration makes it possible for application in different network layout. The 7AC911.9 is a low-power device that requires a maximum power of only 4.5 W and can be operated between 5 degrees C and 40 degrees C. The module has CE and UKCA marking, therefore such modules can be used in compliance with European and UK regulations.
