Product Description
The 5PC800.B945-01 is a unique CPU board designed by highly trained industrial engineers of B & R Automation for use in the APC 820 automation system. This CPU board is used in combination with a mounting plate, system unit, Fan, Main Memory, operating system and a compact flash card. The complete system formed through the combination of these components is flexible enough to meet the individual requirements and operating conditions of a wide range of production and processing machines. The 5PC800.B945-01 CPU board is also able to function at a top level for a long period without the need for any maintenance of repair operation. Certifications included with the CPU board include the CE certification, which indicates that the board meets the European Union’s Safety, Health, and Environmental protection requirements.
The 5PC800.B945-01 CPU board feature an Embedded AMI Basic Input and Output system, which functions as its boot loader. Also, the processor integrated on the board is an Intel L7400 processor with to cores. This processor has very little energy requirements and does not generate a very high amount of heat when it is in operation. The Clock frequency of the processor during operation is about 1500 megahertz. During operation, the 5PC800.B945-01 CPU board requires stringent protection against foreign substances such as dust and water. Also, sufficient protection against high vibrations should be provided.
The 5PC800.B945-01 features a 667 megabytes external bus. It also operates with two main types of cache memory, each of which has a different storage capacity. The L1 Cache of this product is about 32 kilobytes, while the L2 cache memory is about 4 megabytes. The processor architecture is about 65 nanometers. There is a DDR2 memory slot on this product; it has a maximum memory capacity of 3 gigabytes.
