The CPU board functions with the Basic Input and Output system (BIOS) AMI boot loader, Intel Pentium M processor with an architecture of about 0.13 micrometers. Also, the processor on this product works at a clock frequency of about 1.6 gigahertz.

During operation, the heat produced on this processor is easily handled through the heatsink present in the system. The use of a heat sink instead of a fan means customers can use the processor without worrying about a high amount of noise during operation. It is possible to use the 5PC600.X855-01 processor with two different types of chipset; this includes the Intel 82855GME(GMHC) and the Intel 82801DB (ICH4).
