Product Description
The 5PC600.X855-00 is a new generation industrial CPU board built by B & R Automation company for use in the 5PC industrial Automation system. This board has a unique design that makes it well suited to various operation processes with basic computational requirements. The processor present on the board is the Intel Pentium M processor, this processor also operates at a clock frequency of 1100 Megahertz. During operation, this CPU board does not serve as a major source of heat, the little heat generated by the processor on the board is easily controlled by the appropriate heatsink. Customers do not have to worry about installing and air blower with this product. Information about compatible heatsink can be found on the documentation delivered with the CPU board. There is an onboard compact flash on this CPU board, the flash stores important information even when the board is not in operation.
The 5PC600.X855-00 can function optimally at all reasonable temperatures when it is being used at an altitude that is about 500 meters below sea level. However above 1000 meters above sea level, derating is observed. The total power supply required by this product depends on the component combination used with the product, however it should not be more than 100 watts. This CPU board can easily handle computations that contain floating number, this is mainly due to the floating point unit installed with the processor.
The Cache memory on the board is divided into two. For the L1 cache memory, it is about 32 kilobytes, however it is measured to be about 2 megabytes for the L2 cache memory. The memory used by the 5PC600.X855-00 CPU board is a DDRAM, this memory has a maximum capacity of 1 gigabyte, it also requires a SO-DIMM 200-pin connection socket.
