Product Description

The 5PC310.SX01-00 is an insert card which is produced by B & R automation to the expand automation panel 900 display units to an embedded PC for applications in Windows CE and Windows XP. This insert card supports resolutions from Video Graphics Array (VGA) to Super Extended Graphics Array (SXGA). This product utilizes simple plug-in technology for plugging into the insert slot on the automation panel and it is secured to the panel using two fasting screws. The 5PC310.SX01-00 insert card features a 500 Megahertz Geode LX800 processor which is sufficient for the operation of the automation panel, it also features an SDRAM with a memory capacity of 256 Megabytes. Apart from the processor, the insert card is fitted with a Basic Input and Output System (BIOS).

The 5PC310.SX01-00 insert card requires a 24 volts supply voltage for efficient operation. Two Ethernet interface and a RS232 serial interface are also integrated into this insert card. These interfaces ensures optimum communication between the automation panel and other parts of the servo system through the insert card. Special Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are integrated on the insert card, these diodes serve important diagnostic function during operation. A real time clock is integrated into this product, this clock is supported by a Renata back up battery which is removable and has a lifespan of about 4 years.
