The 5MP050.0653-K03 is a sophisticated and portable operating and display device produced by B & R automation for industrial application. This mobile panel features a rugged design and windows CE compatible electronic system. It is equipped with a powerful processor and ethernet, unlike conventional display devices, the 5MP050.0653-K03 mobile panel is optimally suited for many different applications including robotic machines, injecting molding machines, printing machines, theater backdrops, and textile machines. Special onboard flash blocks are integrated into this mobile panel in place of rotating mass storage devices that are not suitable for use in harsh operating environments.

Although this device offers a Windows CE platform for executing applications, it is possible to connect it to a Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP server as a Remote Desktop Protocol client. The Mobile panel can also be used to access automation runtime based visual component applications such as the Virtual Network Computing (VNC) Viewer. The 5MP050.0653-K03 mobile panel is a wired system that is intended to be connected to the control cabinet using an attachment cable. The housing of the control cabinet is suited for harsh environments as it made from non-flammable material, impact resistant with protection against water, cleaning agents, oils, cutting oils, grease and lubricants.

The 5MP050.0653-K03 mobile panel features a touch screen technology, it is also provided with a touch screen stylus pen that provides operators with a more precise control over the operation industrial applications. The touch screen stylus pen is easy to access on the right side of the mobile panel. Resolution of the display screen is 640 x 480 pixels, while the display type is the Thin Film Display (TFT) color.
