The B & R Automation 5LS187 is a module of the 5LS series that provides a wide range of connection types and boosts the operation of automated industrial applications. It has 1 MB of Battery Backed SRAM to ensure that data that has been stored is intact even in the case of power loss. The SRAM with battery backup makes the 5LS187 a reliable technology for industrial use.
This module has the housing with the IP20 degree of protection, which implies that the module is protected against solid particles - the module is not protected against water. Such a degree of protection enables the 5LS187 to be used in areas of industry where the exposure to liquids is minimal. This is due to the fact that the temperature variety is between 0 to 55 degrees C, this environment is conducive for the proper working of the module in different conditions.
