5HS PC690 System Series

The 5HS PC690 System Series from B&R Automation presents rugged modular housings designed to serve as system enclosures for industrial PCs, panel PCs and modular automation controllers where reliable operation in space-restricted environments is required. Constructed from anodized aluminum with superb torsional rigidity, 5HS PC690 housings feature two integrated 120mm temperature-controlled fans to actively cool onboard components. Eight PC card slots provide ample expandability through universal ISA/PCI additions. Hard disk drives integrate using a toolless plug-in mechanism simplifying servicing and upgrades without compromising the enclosure’s rugged IP20 protection rating. Optional internal drives such as CD/DVD or floppy disk drives are installed through covered openings when needed, with blanking plates preserving sealing where not used. Pre-punched mounting holes allow secure installation of power supply units and backplanes using simple mechanical fasteners. Cut-outs accommodate a range industrial I/O and communication port interfaces as needed.
