The 5D5500.10 is a display unit that improves industrial automation by allowing operators to seamlessly monitor, send commands, and interact with industrial controller systems. This display unit is intended for the IPC5600 and IP5000 industrial PC units; it can be directly mounted on these industrial controllers or integrated away from the controller for remote operation at a maximum distance of 10 meters. The display unit is equipped with several pressure-sensitive keys to send commands to the controller. About 23 of the keys present on this industrial display are function keys with Light Emitting Diodes. Other types of keys present include softkeys, softkeys with LEDs, system keys, and system keys with LEDs. The background lightning of this product is a Compact Florescent Light (CFL), it can maintain a brightness of 450 candelas per meter square for a duration of 55,000 hours without any significant reduction in intensity.

The 5D5500.10 display unit features a black housing design, it also has a display diagonal of about 10.4 inches. The display has a width of 310 millimeters, a height of 387 millimeters and a thickness of about 38 millimeters. The display's front panel is designed according to the IP65 protection category; it can reliably withstand dust and water penetration during operation. The Backside is also designed according to the IP20 protection category.

The 5D5500.10 display unit has a display resolution of about 640 x 480 pixels, it can also show up to 262,144 different colours depending on the type of graphics memory and graphics driver used with the device. The frame of this display unit is made from anodized aluminium, the display also features a decor foil that is made from quality polyester material.
