The 5D2200.1 is a display unit designed by B&R automation to improve industrial automation by proving a user-friendly interface. This display unit is equipped with a touch screen, provided industrial operators with an enhanced accessibility and improved speed and efficiency during control operation. The display unit is designed specifically for the IPC2000 and the IPC2001 industrial computer series, it features a Thin Film Transistor (TFT) display and can display up to 262,144 colors and color combinations. This display unit is designed to function with Video Graphic Array (VGA), and can display colors at a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The back panel of this display unit provides it with protection according to the IP20 protection class, however the front panel is completely resistant to dust, and water splashes according to the IP65 protection class

The frame of this display unit is made from anodized aluminum, it also has a polyester decor foil, and a flat gasket around the display front. The 5D2200.1 display unit has a back design, and an analog resistive touch screen technology. During operation, the background lightning of the display screen is about 200 candela per meter square, this brightness can last for 25,000 hours with a 50 percent decrease in brightness excepted after this time has passed.

The permissible operating ambient temperature of the 5D2200.1 display unit is between 0 to about 50 degree Celsius depending on the installation, also the display should not be exposed to humidity during operation that exceed 85 percent. The 5D2200.1 display unit weighs about 2 kilograms. The controller is mounted on the back side of the housing, the four screws needed for the mounting are included with delivery.
