The 5C2001 controller from B & R automation is a smart device from the 5C2 series that has the ability to transform industrial operations. The controller supports two boot devices that are Drive C: and Drive A: that are designated as C: and A: respectively. The device offers write protection software and DIP switch that enables writing and protects the controller too. The controller also supports limited DOS operations and Provit 2000 utilities which makes it a really versatile addition in any industrial setting. The controller is capable to support up to 63 MB FPROM or SRAM PCMCIA cards. It has a 2 MB Flash PROM that makes it a really useful addition.

The 5C2001 has a really powerful 133 MHz processor that is supported by 256 KB SRAM. The controller has 2-4 serial interfaces for a very versatile connectivity profile and a 6 GB Hard Drive. The 5C2001 supports a 20 MB compact flash slot which makes it really convenient for the user to operate.
