The 5APC2100.BY22-000 is an industrial PC system unit designed by B & R automation according international standards. This PC unit is built based on Intel’s Bay Trail Architecture, this unique design allows it to support a wide range of industrial machines. There are several connection interfaces integrated into this product to ensure easy connection with all other parts of the servo system, these includes two gigabits Ethernet, one USB 3.0 and another USB 2.0. Also, fieldbuses such as POWERLINK and CAN can be implemented with this product through the interface modules. The system unit is a fanless device that does not generate too much heat during operation. Cooling is done through a passive process involving the housing of the product. The data storage used with this product s a compact CFast card.

The 5APC2100.BY22-000 system unit operates with an Intel Atom E3826 processor which operates at a clock frequency of 1460 megahertz, the processor is a 2 core processor with a 22 nanometer architecture. The thermal design power of this product is measured to be about 7 watts, while the L2 cache memory is 1 megabyte. Nominal voltage required by this product for optimum operation is measured to be about 24 volts although a deviation of up to 25 percent is allowed, also the system unit uses a nominal current of 3 amperes.
