Product Description
The 5A5001.19 is an extremely efficient and sophisticated hard disk drive used by the reputable B&R automation company to serve as a mass memory in the 5000C or 5600C Industrial Personal Computer (IPC). This hard disk is produced by SEAGATE technologies and has been certified to meet the quality standards required by industrial automation systems. The hard disk can only be used with socket 370 system units, it contains more than 78,000,000 sectors, and each sector can store up to 512 bytes of data. During operation, the revolution speed of this hard disk is approximately 5,400 revolutions per minute, despite this high operation speed, the hard disk maintains an average access time of 12.5 milliseconds, and a starting time of 3 seconds.
The 5A5001.19 hard disk can store as high as 40 gigabytes of data, it also maintains a cache memory of 8 megabytes during operation. The 5A5001.19 hard disk is integrated with a Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T) support which gathers data about the health of the disk and reports it to the user, ensuring the disk is always in peak conditions. The data transfer rate to and from the host is approximately 100 Megabytes per second.
Compared to other hard disk designs, the 5A5001.19 hard disk can withstand a wider ambient operation temperature range which is between -30 to about 85 degree Celsius during transportation and storage a temperature as high as 95 degree Celsius can be withstood by the hard disk. The 5A5001.19 hard disk takes approximately 1 milliseconds to move from track to track, while the average time from reach access is about 12.5 milliseconds.
