Product Description
The 4PP451.1043-75 is a medium-size power panel by B&R, designed for the most rigorous applications. With a Geode LX800 500 MHz processor, the 4PP451.1043-75 performs heavier tasks faster than other power panels derived from earlier product lines. The Geode LX800 processor uses MMX technology with the 3D NOW expanded command set. It also offers two processor caches, each with 128 kB of capacity. During operation, the 4PP451.1043-75 facilitates passive cooling thanks to its integrated heat sinks. During its boot sequence, the automation runtime starts the necessary functions to keep the system running. Like the most advanced power panels by B&R, this power panel employs a floating-point unit (FPU).
Aside from its impressive processor, the 4PP451.1043-75 also offers an extensive memory set. The 4PP451.1043-75 dedicates 2 MB of flash memory for firmware out of its 128 MB DDR SDRAM. To process the power panel's display, the Geode LX800 processor uses 8 MB of shared graphics memory. In addition to the 128 MB of SDRAM, the 4PP451.1043-75 also offers 512 kB of battery-buffered SRAM, which facilitates faster read and write speeds. With its extended maintenance controller, the 4PP451.1043-75 can perform watchdog and power failure logic diagnostics and functions.
Other features of the 4PP451.1043-75 include a Renata battery, an Ethernet Intel 82551 ER controller, a type 1 CompactFlash slot, a modem-capable RS232 interface, and two USB 2.0 interfaces. With this powerful set of interfaces and communication ports, the 4PP451.1043-75 performs data transfer and device serial communication seamlessly. The 4PP451.1043-75 features an impressive 10.4-inch color TFT display at VGA resolution. The background lighting for the 4PP451.1043-75's display screen has a brightness rating of 450 candela per square meter. In total, the 4PP451.1043-75 has 58 membrane keys with an estimated service life of more than 10^6 actuations.
