R&R Automation developed the 4PP420.1043-85 Power Panel, a high-performance industrial display unit. This panel features a 10.4-inch VGA color TFT touch screen with resistive touch, designed for reliable operation in challenging industrial environments. It offers versatile connectivity options that make it suitable for a wide range of automation applications.

The Power Panel PP420 is powered by a GeodeLX800 processor with a clock frequency of 500MHz, supported by 128 kB of L1 Cache and 128 kB of L2 Cache. It includes 128 MB of SDRAM for efficient memory management and 512 kB of SRAM, which is battery-buffered for added reliability. The panel also provides a CompactFlash slot (type I) for expandable storage. It also includes essential communication interfaces such as Ethernet (ETH 10/100), RS232, and two USB ports. The device runs on an automation runtime boot loader and features passive cooling through a heat sink. It ensures optimal performance without the need for active cooling systems. With an IP65 protection rating on the front, the panel is well-protected against dust and water, making it durable in harsh environments.

The 4PP420.1043-85 power panel also features a real-time clock with an accuracy of typically 30 ppm at 25 degrees C, ensuring precise timekeeping. The clock is battery-buffered to maintain accuracy even during power interruptions. The Power Panel also incorporates a watchdog timer and power fail logic managed by MTEX. It offers a 10ms buffer time to safeguard operations during unexpected power failures. Measuring 323mm in width, 260mm in height, and 108mm in depth, and weighing 4200g, this compact yet powerful unit is well-suited for demanding industrial automation tasks.
