Product Description
The 4PP251.1043-75 is one of B&R Automation's largest power panels available on the market today. Its screen alone has a diagonal length of 10.4 inches at VGA (640 x 480 pixels) resolution. The screen is a color TFT display, containing 256 colors and having a 600:1 contrast ratio. Unlike other power panels developed by B&R, the 4PP251.1043-75 features a set of mechanical keys with an estimated lifespan of more than one million actuations, assuming consistent actuation forces between 0.7 and 3.3 N. Overall, the 4PP251.1043-75 has 28 function keys, 20 system keys, and 10 soft keys. During operation, B&R advises against pressing more than one key at a time to prevent triggering unwanted actions.
Like power panels under the PP251 product line, the 4PP251.1043-75 uses Automation Runtime as its boot loader and utilizes a Geode SC2200 266 MHz operating processor with 16 kB of cache. The 4PP251.1043-75's DRAM has a capacity of 64 MB, while its SRAM only has 256 kB of storage space. During starting conditions, the 4PP251.1043-75 has a maximum starting current of 20 amperes at a 24 V nominal DC voltage. It also features a system management controller that facilitates watchdog and power failure logic functions. The power consumption of the 4PP251.1043-75 may vary between 20 and 25 watts.
In terms of its communication interfaces, the 4PP251.1043-75 provides the usual set available for most modern power panels by B&R. Among these interfaces, Ethernet is the fastest, followed by USB. The RS232 communication protocol is the slowest, and it can only transmit data at a maximum rate of 115.2 kBaud. The 4PP251.1043-75's Ethernet interface integrates a MacPhyter DP83816 controller, while its CompactFlash interface employs a primary IDE connection.
