Product Description
The 4PP220.0571-L65 is a lighter variation of the 4PP220.0571-65, manufactured by B&R Industrial Automation. It features a 5.7-inch (144 mm) LCD color display that outputs images at QVGA resolution (320 x 240 pixels). Liquid-crystal displays create images using liquid crystals and require a separate backlight. Although the liquid crystals last a long time, it is usually the background light that fails first in LCDs. For the 4PP220.0571-L65, the background lighting emits a brightness of 150 candela per square meter. At half-brightness, the 4PP220.0571-L65's backlight has an estimated life of 50,000 hours, or around 5 years and 8 months.
The 4PP220.0571-L65 draws power from a supply source at a nominal voltage of 24 volts. It also employs resistive touch technology with a high degree of transmission at 84%. Touch screens usually have a degree of transmission of less than 90% to keep spacers and fingerprint marks from the user invisible. During nominal operation, the 4PP220.0571-L65 draws around 10-12 watts with a maximum transient current of 20 amperes. Although the nominal voltage for most of B&R's power panels is 24 volts, the working voltage may fall or rise by a factor of 25% of the nominal value. The same concept applies for the 4PP220.0571-L65. Following this concept, the minimum voltage allowed for the 4PP220.0571-L65 is 18 V, while the maximum voltage allowed is 30 V.
Like other power panels from the PP220 product line, the 4PP220.0571-L65 uses a Geode SC2200 processor, provides Ethernet, USB, and COM interfaces, and operates between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius. The 4PP220.0571-L65 specifies a maximum installation altitude of 3000 meters above sea level. The 4PP220.0571-L65 also has a reset switch accessible from the outside.
