4C PanelWare Series

The 4C PanelWare CAN Controller from B&R Automation enables building modular, distributed HMIs by connecting display and keypad modules over a CAN network. By separating these functions onto individual nodes, more flexible operator interface configurations are possible. The CAN controller coordinates with up to 7 separate keypad units for user input. Display modules provide the visual interface. The intelligent controller handles CAN communication to exchange data between the nodes using an expanded VT100/C100 protocol. Programming is done through B&R's PANELWARE Configuration Software, which generates the communication sequences to link the modular system. This approach simplifies implementing customized HMIs tailored to special machines or processes. With its capability to coordinate multiple remote I/O modules over CAN bus, the 4C PanelWare Controller brings new possibilities for distributed Human-Machine Interfaces. System designers can optimize operator ergonomics and machine interaction by locating displays and keypads independently. The result is modular HMIs that are easily scalable and configurable.
