Product Description
The 0GH161.60-1 module, part of the OGH series from B&R Automation, is a highly adaptable and programmable I/O processor designed for demanding industrial environments. Released in 2005, this module is equipped with 850 KB SRAM and 1.5 MB FlashPROM, offering substantial memory to handle complex operations and data storage.
It features 1 RS232 interface and 1 CAN interface, providing reliable communication options. The CAN interface is electrically isolated and network capable, enhancing its usability in various industrial setups. This module supports up to 12 digital inputs at 24 VDC, Sink and 12 digital outputs at 24 VDC, 0.1 A. In addition, it offers 6 analog inputs and 6 analog outputs, each capable of +10 V with 14-bit and 12-bit resolution respectively, allowing for precise control and monitoring. Moreover, the module includes 2 outputs that deliver +10 V and -10 V per terminal block. For optimal functionality, it's important to note that 3 x TB170 terminal blocks must be ordered separately to complete the setup.
The 0GH161.60-1 integrates a powerful CPU section, dual interfaces, and a combination of digital and analog I/O capabilities, making it a versatile choice for complex applications. Its digital I/O is interrupt-capable, and its fast analog inputs support both FIFO and comparator modes, enhancing the module's flexibility. Depending on the slot configuration, specifically slots 3+4 for CPU mode, the 0GH161.60-1 can function as either a standalone programmable I/O processor or as a CPU, reducing the load on the main CPU and optimizing system performance. It is primarily used to offload processing tasks, ensuring smoother operation of industrial systems. The module is fully programmable using a dedicated programming system, allowing for the creation of tailored application programs and data modules.
