The 0GH-UM161 module by B&R Automation is a sophisticated universal analog/digital mixed module designed to offer exceptional performance in industrial automation applications. This advanced module features 4 analog inputs and 3 analog outputs, all capable of handling signals up to ~10 V, which ensures high precision in both measurement and control processes. Additionally, the module is equipped with 14 digital inputs and 2 digital outputs, operating at 24 VDC. These outputs can also function as extra digital inputs, providing enhanced flexibility for various applications.
Connectivity is streamlined with the use of standard 3.5 mm terminal blocks. To facilitate connections, 2 x TB718 terminal blocks are required, which are sold separately. These blocks are positioned adjacent to each other in the lower part of the housing, allowing for efficient signal connections. Available in both screw and cage clamp variants, the TB718 blocks offer versatile installation options.
The 0GH-UM161 excels in performance with a cut-off frequency of 8 kHz and a conversion time of less than 45 us for all four analog inputs, ensuring swift and accurate signal processing. It maintains precision with a linearity error of ~0.9 mV and a temperature drift of ~1.5 mV/ degrees C, making it reliable in varying environmental conditions. The module features a 12-bit digital converter resolution for detailed digital signal processing. It includes a built-in comparator function for quick responses to changing analog inputs. With a total power consumption of 6 W, it remains energy-efficient. The module supports source wiring and includes short circuit protection for added safety. It is also C-UL-US listed, meeting international safety standards.
